life goes on... just not much knitting

Photography has captured my attention lately... but ironically... I have no pictures to share.

I did finished the hat, but was unhappy with top. I have no clue what happened. I don't think the instructions in the book were clear - at least not to a beginner like me, which annoys me. I find lots of patterns that say they are for beginners, but assume you know way more than a beginner would know. Esp. someone who is math-challenged like myself. I find that extremely frustrating. ... sorry for the rant. But I still plan to make a matching scarf. It'll be ribbed, I think. I'd have started it by now, but I just don't have the needles in the size I want to use.

Anyway...hope everyone is staying cool this summer!

Meanwhile, build your stash by visiting here. Lots of nice stuff there. I have yet to buy yarn elsewhere 'cause he keeps distracting me with one-of-a-kind products and my yarn budget can only go so far. That Dave - quite the stash/yarn enabler. :D

a couple of tidbits...

I'm stll working on the hat that I now think will be too big. I may make it about 2" shorter in height 'cause I think the circumference will still work. We shall see, I suppose.

Also, my payment cleared for my subscription to Interweave Knits!! hee hee. Can't wait for the next issue!!

Enjoy your friday!

My Buddy

I was looking at knitting blogs that feature their pets and it made me think of a really cool cat that I knew. He passed away last year. He wasn't my cat but he was my buddy and I miss him. One of the two coolest cats I ever met.

I made a page for him - Quincy: My Buddy.

Hope you have a good day.
