two steps forward, one step back...

Just a small update. I had to rip out about 1.5 inches so there's still not much to show on the scarf. When it get to be a decent length, I'll post a photo. But it is slow going. It's kinda sad when you get better at ripping back the work as opposed to actually creating the work. *sigh*

Have a good week!

scarf coming along...

no pictures yet ... but I wanted to say that this scarf is coming along nicely.

I adapted this pattern. I think it's for worsted weight yarn, but it doesn't really say.

I adapted it a little for Dave's Sport Weight yarn. If anyone is curious, I cast on 39 stitches with size 8 needles. For me, it's about 7 inches wide (not accounting for the rib).

I like this rib pattern because I didn't want to lose a lot of width. I've only got about 2.75 inches on the length. I'll have pictures soon.

Also, I wanna crochet something soon. I've always wanted to make one of those beanie/skull caps. Actually I did make one, but the pattern was for someone with a tiny head which is NOT me! :D I've got the yarn and I've got the needles... all I need is a pattern that I like - why is that always the hard part!?

ttfn!

Finally...

I bought some new needles (yes, I went to Michaels - please don't hate me) Clover/Takumi bamboo size 8. Now I just have to make a center pull ball out of Dave's yarn and I'll be all set. Hopefully by then I'll know what kind of ribbing I want to do. I don't want it really stretchy so I was thinking maybe 4+2 or 3+1. I really don't know. We shall see what we shall see I suppose. I just kinda want to be knitting again. (Ignores existing scarf project already on needles)

Monday Morning Sky

I'm not a part of the whole 'Saturday Sky' thing, but after I took this picture on my way to work, I knew I had to post it here.

This is what happens when you leave your camera on spot metering. I really like how it came out!
