Is it any wonder my brain hurts now? Sheesh! I think I'm going to go work on my no-brainer scarf.

surprise...

Something unexpected happened tonight. I attempted a figure-eight toe... and it worked! I didn't plan it and I'm kinda stunned. So I guess I started Socktoberfest early...with a toe-up sock ...and neither was part of my plan.

AND... and...

I hope to attempt a short row heel ... and I don't know why. What I do know is that I'm going to try the wrap method. The backwards yarn over looks confusing no matter how many times I read it. But looking at the short row video on knittinghelp.com and wendy's toe-up sock pattern (repeatedly) there was some sense of comprehension in my brain ... so I'm gonna try.

Just a bit of news . . .

Well, I was supposed to attend a knitting meeting tonight but due to car trouble, I wasn't able to make it. Maybe I'll try again for the next meeting.

I'll try to post pictures of my scarf before the end of the week. I really like how it's looking. You can finally see color pattern in the stitches. I'd have posted a pic sooner, but the week has been a pain.

I got my very first Pattenwork catalog. (Yes, I'm a newbie) How much do I love looking at the patterns and yarns in there! A. LOT. There's so much cool stuff it's hard to choose what to buy first. (I know, Dave ... I'm stepping back from the yarn.)

I succumbed...

Dave added more yarn to the Mercantile. I couldn't resist. I bought some. I don't even have the right size needles for this yarn (yet). Maybe when I receive it, I'll post a picture of all the unknitted yarn I have purchased from him so far.
