I haven't been knitting..

*sigh* This is supposed to be a knitting blog ... but I haven't been so there hasn't been much to blog about. I'm kinda bummed about that. I think my last foray with the short row heel got to me. :( I've got some beautiful sock yarn and hope 2007 will be my year for sock knitting. I know as soon as I figure out that short row heel... there'll be no stopping me.

and I also hope to have a new home (and a new name) for my knitting blog in the new year ... just still some things I need to figure out.

Oy. So much to do , so little time. Ain't that always the way?

December always seems to be so busy... taking me away fromthe fun stuff like blogging.

Thanks so much for all the comments and suggestions. I really appreciate them! When I do the short rows, I'm actually going by more than one pattern because each person described the process differently and it just seems to work for me when I just read one pattern. I haven't given up, but needed to take a break and work on a crocheted baby hat and sweater. I'll have a photo as soon as it's finished.

It can't be that hard!

What am I talking about? Why it's 'Short Row Heels'! AGAIN. There's something that I'm just not getting. I'm getting closer, but success eludes me. Below is a baby sock I attempted, complete with holes on both sides of the heel. Next to it is just short row heel practice with one big on only one side.

 

How am I supposed to fix something if I don't know created the problem in the first place.

*sigh*

two steps forward, one step back, right?

I'll try again tomorrow.
